Barthez, who started his professional career with the opening of private radios in Turkey, joined Spectrum Medya after working in radios such as Hür FM, Radio Contact, Capitol FM, Radio 2019, Radio Cool and Radio Oxi-gen since 1993. For 5 years, he made a programme every Sunday with the famous jazz pianist Kerem Görsev. He started his career as a programme producer at Joy FM and continues as Joy FM programmer, JoyJazz and Literal Radio editorial director under the Karnaval brand. In addition to being a radio DJ since 1997, Barthez has played as a resident DJ in many venues such as Millenium, 7th House, Süleyman Nazif, Bobo’s, Lucca, Gigi, Zuma, Jamie’s, Banyan, Soho House and Cecconi’s.

He also worked as a warm-up DJ in countless special events, parties and festivals and before the concerts of world giants such as Duran Duran, Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett, Alicia Keys, Beirut, Nile Rodgers.

He still continues to work as the music director of many brands.

Barthez, who continues to prepare and present the ‘Easy Drive Home’ programme on Joy FM every evening, has also been working as Levent Erden’s partner in Erden’s stage show ‘Zahiri Hakikat’ since the last 2 years, and has been realising the sound, music and effects fiction of the show.

He describes the music he plays in his sets as a blend of electronic beats with soul, funk and jazz elements.

We have listened to him on radio stations such as Hür FM, Radio 2019 and Radio Oxi-gen, which have always been at the forefront with their music. He has been preparing and presenting the programme ‘Easy Drive Home’ on Joy FM for a long time. Founded 11 years ago, he continues to curate JoyJazz.

He has played warm-up sets at countless special events, parties and festivals and before the concerts of world giants such as Duran Duran, Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett, Alicia Keys, Beirut, Nile Rodgers.

He has also been working as a voice actor for more than 30 years.
